Our Mission
The Veterans’ Island Project at Memorial Park, founded by a small group of private citizens with a vision to dedicate the island at Memorial Park solely to our local veterans. Through eye-catching memorial, public art, landscaping, and educational information, our project works to make this vision possible. We feel this is a natural evolution of current space as of today.

Current Projects
With it being over 12 years since our establishment in 2014, the Veterans’ Island Project has done much work on the area such as restoring and refurbishing the WWII cannon, installing new plaques, and more recently the creation of the Korean War Mural. In the future, more work will be done on the island to continue to support and remember the people who fought for our country.
